During these difficult times our dedicated teams are working around the clock to continue looking after our young people. To facilitate social distancing, our office based support staff will be working from home wherever possible and can be contacted using the numbers on our Contact Us page. We are still reviewing all referrals, offering placements where relevant, and planning for young people to move into our homes where it is safe to do so. Despite the challenges we all face during these testing times, we are committed to supporting you and our young people.
Students enjoyed World Book day 2018 with an interesting twist this year.
The winners were Max with first place and Mark with second. Well done to everyone who took part and thanks to the staff for their hard work and support.
Our Bedfordshire school celebrated the students’ success under the theme ‘Be Inspired.’
The event saw students past and present students receiving a range of awards from subject awards to top achievement in KS3 and KS4.
They were entertained by the talented Dr Fiona (Oracles own English and History Teacher at Silsoe). One guest remarked, “I have never heard the flute played so professionally.”
The guest speaker, Dr Charles, inspired the students using the life story of Charles Darwin. His overall message can be summarised through the quote,
“It is not how good you are it is how good you want to be!”
Head teacher, Lisa Patterson-Igwe, was delighted with the number of people who attended and gives thanks to those who helped to make the event so positive and to those who took the time to join them.
