During these difficult times our dedicated teams are working around the clock to continue looking after our young people. To facilitate social distancing, our office based support staff will be working from home wherever possible and can be contacted using the numbers on our Contact Us page. We are still reviewing all referrals, offering placements where relevant, and planning for young people to move into our homes where it is safe to do so. Despite the challenges we all face during these testing times, we are committed to supporting you and our young people.
The summer holidays started last week for our young people and already they have been making the most of their free time with activities such as trampolining, hair braiding, and enjoying the outdoors with paddling pools being a firm favourite during the hot weather. There is plenty of time for more fun and trips out with a big shopping trip planned for one young person who has been saving up her clothing money for 3 months and is planning to treat herself. There is a pool party planned at one home, whilst another has gone with a Hawaiian theme, not to mention a summer BBQ, pride events, and a company world cup - for which plenty of practice is underway. More to follow as the summer progresses and hopefully the sun comes back out!
Well done team Brunswick who have been awarded a rating of "Good" in their recent Ofsted inspection.
During the recent period of wet weather, one of our homes decided to get out the canvas, easel, paints and pencils and spent the day creating some great art work. Check out this abstract and the pencil drawing of Spiderman.
Thank you to our talented artists for producing such great drawings and paintings.
Making the most of the glorious sunshine, the teachers and students at our Congleton school today headed off to the park for a picnic and some games and activities, including football, rounders, and basketball. They also had a go at juggling, skipping and a horseshoe game. Having worked up an appetite, they sat down for the picnic lunch whilst watching the boats on the lake. The picnic finished with ice creams all round - which also helped to cool everyone down.
The park was busy with other youngsters, and our students interacted well with them and had a great time. What better way to mark the end of the summer term and kick-start the summer holidays!
