During these difficult times our dedicated teams are working around the clock to continue looking after our young people. To facilitate social distancing, our office based support staff will be working from home wherever possible and can be contacted using the numbers on our Contact Us page. We are still reviewing all referrals, offering placements where relevant, and planning for young people to move into our homes where it is safe to do so. Despite the challenges we all face during these testing times, we are committed to supporting you and our young people.
A Halloween party was hosted yesterday by one of our Staffordshire homes for everyone in our Oracle community. All theming, decorating and games were organised by adults and young people alike, and guests were invited to put on fancy dress. There was some fierce competition with the face painting and costumes - especially amongst the witches, and it was a joy to watch the young people enjoying traditional games such as apple bobbing and a spooky treasure hunt - albeit with a modern, slimy twist. There was also a massive spread of delicious food which was enjoyed by everyone.
This afternoon, one of our teaching staff hosted a coffee afternoon to raise money for "Hello Yellow Day" in support of young people with mental health needs.
Staff and pupils were invited to wear something yellow to demonstrate solidarity with young people with mental health issues and also to take part in the fun and enjoy a coffee and cake. We saw all shades of yellow from a gentle hint of lemon to full splashes of sunshine yellow and would like to thank everyone involved from the organisers to those who participated and contributed to this worthy cause.
